Team & permissions
Give your staff access to this server's dashboard with fine-grained control over which modules each person can view and edit.
Team & permissions lets you add people who can open this server's dashboard — and choose exactly which modules each of them can view and edit. For example, you can give one staff member only Panels and Transcripts, but not Settings.
Granting access here is much safer than handing out the Discord Manage Server permission, because you control precisely what each person can touch.
Add a member
- 1
Get their Discord user ID
Ask the person for their Discord user ID. Tip: turn on Developer Mode in Discord (User Settings → Advanced) so you can right-click a profile and Copy User ID.
- 2
Add them by ID
In Settings → Team, paste the user ID to add the member.
- 3
Pick their permissions
Choose the modules and permissions they should have, such as Panels and Transcripts but not Settings.
- 4
Save
Save your changes. The member can now open the dashboard for this server with exactly the access you granted.
Roles
Access depends on the role someone holds for this server:
- Owner
- The server owner has full access to every module, including the danger zone in Server settings.
- Managers / team members
- Only see and edit the modules you granted them — nothing else appears in their sidebar.
When changes take effect
Changing someone's permissions takes effect the next time they open the dashboard. If they're already signed in, they may need to refresh.
