Verification
Make new members prove they're human before they get a role — with one button, a captcha, or Discord OAuth.
Verification posts an embed with a button in a channel (usually a locked #verify). When a member clicks it, they pass a human-check and Rimpllee gives them the verification role(s) that unlock the rest of the server. You design the embed in a builder with a live preview — and Premium servers can use the Components V2 layout too.
Set it up in the dashboard under Other → Verification.
Pick a method
Choose how members prove they're human. All three end the same way: the configured role(s) are granted.
- Instant role
- Click the button → get the role right away. The fastest option; the button colour is yours to pick.
- Captcha
- Click the button → a branded captcha image appears in a private popup. The member presses Enter code, types the characters in a modal, and gets the role if it matches. Button colour is configurable.
- Discord OAuth
- A link button that runs Discord's OAuth login. After the member authorises, they're sent back to the server and get the role. (Link buttons can only style the label + emoji.)
Roles
- Pick one or more roles to grant on successful verification.
- Roles above Rimpllee's highest role are greyed out — Discord won't let any bot assign a role higher than its own.
- Put the Rimpllee role above your verification role in Server Settings → Roles. See Invite Rimpllee.
The button & embed
- Style the button — label, emoji, and (for Instant/Captcha) its colour.
- Build the embed: title, description, colour, image and more, with a live preview.
- Premium: switch on Components V2 for a richer drag-and-drop layout — and place the verify button as a component wherever you want.
Post it
- 1
Pick a channel
Choose the channel members will verify in — usually a locked channel only the verification role can see past.
- 2
Post the panel
Press Post panel. Rimpllee posts the embed + button and verification goes live. Editing and pressing it again updates the live message.
- 3
Lock the server
Set your channels so unverified members can only see the verify channel, and the verification role unlocks the rest.
Use Remove panel to delete the posted message and turn verification off again at any time.
