Social Alerts

Post a notification in Discord the moment a creator uploads a video or goes live on YouTube or Twitch.

Follow a YouTube channel or a Twitch streamer from the dashboard under Social Alerts, pick a channel, and Rimpllee posts there the moment something happens. Every message is a template you can rewrite, with an embed or a Components V2 layout of your own.

  1. 1

    Follow an account

Pick YouTube or Twitch and paste a link, a handle or a channel id. Rimpllee looks the account up and shows you its name and avatar.

  2. 2

    Pick the channel

Open the account and choose where its alerts land. Nothing is posted until a channel is picked.

  3. 3

Choose the events and the ping

New video or went live: turn on whichever you want. Add a role to ping, or @everyone.

  4. 4

Rewrite the message, if you like

Every event has its own template. Leave it alone for the built-in one in your server's bot language.

Following an account never posts its back catalogue. The first check only records what already exists, so the very next upload is the first thing your members see.

A YouTube video that is scheduled ahead of time is not announced when it appears: Rimpllee waits and posts the Went live alert when the stream actually starts.

A ping only fires for the role you picked, never for anything a video title happens to contain. A title with @everyone in it stays a plain title.

Nothing is arriving

  • Check that the account has a channel picked and that its toggle is on.
  • Check that Rimpllee may post in that channel, and may mention the role you chose.
  • A keyword filter silently skips everything that does not match. Empty it to alert on everything.
  • Skip Shorts drops every YouTube video of a minute or less.
  • An alert is only sent once per video or per stream. Editing a video title does not send it again.

TikTok is not supported. TikTok has no public way to follow someone else's account, so there is nothing reliable to build on yet.
